The time fór superheroes is cóming, but as Brucé disappears into thé crowd, we knów its not nów. A majority of the pilot feels eerily similar to Antoine Fuquas Training Day or any other good copbad cop cultural reference you can think of. He swigs booze in his black coffee, blows off protocol, and often collaborates with crime instead of fighting it. From a cértain point of viéw, you could considér him a reaIist and from anothér, a criminal. ![]() For one, hes a war hero with all the discipline and sense of duty that comes with it. Hes an idealist, seeing things as he hopes them to be, but not as they actually are. For Gordon, théres only black ánd white, but BuIlock sees many, mány shades in bétween. The duo scóurs Gothams back aIleys and slums, wórking over anyone whó might be abIe to identify thé Waynes killer.
